Miami!

Como sempre estou meio atrasado, eu sei... mas quem se importa? :-P
Conforme comentei no post anterior minha última parada antes de vir para o Brasil foi Miami!
Este é um lugar maravilhoso, cercado pela natureza (e algumas vezes uma natureza artificial) e um sol fantástico.
Fiquei hospedado no Days Inn do centro médico, uma ótima localização, perto do Bayside, South beach e downtown mas não um bom lugar para ficar. O quarto simplesmente fedia, o chão parecia úmido e as toalhas não estavam tão limpas.... nojento. A única coisa que me deixava feliz era a conta... o hotel mais barato da região. A coisa mais legal da cidade é a língua! Se você não fala inglês não é um problema mas, se você não entende espanhol é impossível! LOL
Eu ouvi diversas vezes "I not speak English (sic). ¿Hablas español?" e sempre, como um grande entendedor do português que (acha que) entende espanhol eu começava a conversar.
Por fim foi uma grande experiência. Um grande passeio e principalemente, minha primeira experiência trabalhando no exterior :-)

As I mentioned in the last post, my final stop before Brazil was Miami!
In fact this is a beautiful place, surrounded by the nature (and sometimes an artificial nature) and a shinny sun.
I was hosted in the Days Inn at the medical center, a very nice location, near to Bayside, South Beach and downtown but not a good place to stay. The room simply stinks, the floor seems to be wet and the towels weren't so clean.... disgusting. The only thing that made me happy there was the check ... the cheapest inn in the region. The funniest part in this city was about the language! If you don¿t speak English it¿s not a big deal but, if can¿t understand Spanish is just impossible! LOL
I heard this several times "I not speak English (sic).¿Hablas español?" and always, as a great Portuguese speaker that (thinks) understand spanish I used to start the conversation.
At the end this was a great experience. A great trip and mainly, my first experience working abroad :-)

Last day at Detroit

This is the end... É gente, minha semana aqui em Detroit acabou e agora é hora de ir prá casa... Mas antes MIAMI :)
Bom, hojefoi dia de diversão! Só fazendo compras, passeando e coisas do tipo. A melhor parte foi visitar o "quartel general" da GM no Renaissance center.... que lugar incrível, é tudo que tenho a dizer.
Bom, tenho que ir, logo coloco mais coisas.
Ahh, quase esqueci a "lição aprendida" de hoje: Aqui no Michigan se um strip club tem nudez completa então não servem bebidas alcólicas e, se tem bebida vc só verá mulheres fazendo topless... Bem útil né?

This is the end... yeah guys, my week here in detroit has finished and now is time to go back home... but first MIAMI :)

Well, today was time for fun! Just shopping, sight seeing and things like that. The best part was the visit to the GM headquarters in Renaissance center... whata beaut place, that's just what a have to say.

well, I have to go now, soon I'll probably talk a bit more.

Wow, I almost forgot the today's "lessons learned": Here in Michigan if a strip club has full nudity there's no alcohol and, it there's alcohol you will just see girls doing topless... Very useful, eh?Renaissance Center

E oq poderia ser mais americanos que ver um monte de Harleys antes de comer hamburger?
Gente, nunca vi tantas harleys duma vez!! Eram muitas ao redor da Royal Oak st. e... bom, novamente pensei na minha moto :( Tenho saudade da diversão nos domingos de sol... passeando por aí e... bom, melhor parar de falar disso para não ficar deprimido.
Continuando, nós (eu, Amaury e Jim) fomos para uma cervejaria! Que lugar legal! Hamburgers muito bons e a cerveja de trigo é maravilhosa! Recomendo o local.
Como nada pode ser perfeito fomos multados! Isso mesmo! Infringimos a lei no estado de Michigan :P

And what could be more american than seeing lots of Harleys before eating a burger?
Man, I never saw so many harleys at once! They were too many, all arounf the royal Oak st. and.. .well, once again I thought about my motorcycle :( I really miss that funny during the sunny sundays.... riding all around and... well it's better stoping talkking about that otherwise I'll get depressed.
Continuing, we (me, Amaury and Jim) went to a brewery! such a nice place! Nice burgers and a very good wheat beer! I recomend this place!!

As nothing could be perfect, we were fined! That's it, we infriged the law in MI state :P Harleys

Ainda estamos na briga! Os pistons fizeram um jogo incrível ontém de noite e ainda temos chances de vencer o campeonato!!
Quinta feira vai ser um dia fantástico (eu espero).
O único problema ontém foi achar um lugar prá assistir o jogo. o Champs estava - como imaginei - lotado e então resolvemos ir prá outro lugar.... decisão errada heheheh Nós só vimos os 2 quartos finais, mas foi legal :)
Bom gente, o tempo tá indo rápido e a semana quase acabando e tenho que trabalhar um monte então....

We're on! The pistons had an amazing game last night and we still having chances to win the championship!!
Next thursday will be a great day (I hope).
The only problem last night was found a place to watchs the game. Champs was - as expected) crowded ant them we decided to move on to another place..... wrong decision heheheh We just saw the last 2 quarters but was nice :)
Well guys, the time is running fast and the week is almost finishing e I have a lot of work to do so...

Trabalhando em Dallas

Curtas:
O primeiro dia de trabalho não foi tão ruim, e o café é uma droga, como esperava.
Ainda tá difícil de entender o transito aqui mas dirigindo esse carro (GM Malibu V6) não é um problema.
Asurpresa d dia ficou por conts do jantar com Mr. Kimo Kimnum restaurante coreano huuuummm o churrasco deles é muito bom.. Tenho que ir na aclimação comer :)

quick notes:
The first day at work wasn't that bad, the cofee is not good as I expected.
It still hard to understand the traffic here but driving this car (GM Malibu V6) its not a problem in fact.

The surprise of the day was our dinner with mr. Kimo Kim in an amazing korean restaurant huuummm the korean barbecue is really nice... I have to go to some restaurants in Sao Paulo :)Dando uma volta num shopping da Big Beaver

Esse lugar eh diferente de tudo que jah vi. Bom, parece Dalas onde eu estava no final de semana.
As duas cidades foram feitas para carros e nao para pessoas, tudo eh longe e sem carro vc nao vai a lugar algum.
Infelizmente nao tenho tempo para continuar escrevendo pois tenho que trabalhar amanha cedo mas, prometo, vou falar um pouco mais desse passeio mais tarde ;-)

Yes, I'm already in Detroit (utica in fact).
This place is really different from everything I've seen before. Well, its similar to Dallas, where I was this weekend.
Both cities are made for cars, not people. Everything is far and without a car you just can't go anywhere.
Unfortunatelly I have no time to keep writing cause Ihave to work tomorow mornig, but I promisse, I'll talk a little more about this trip later ;-)
